What is the technique to make the soldering look like brass

Q: I have just completed attaching stain glass Christmas bulb shapes to copper wire for a Christmas ornament for a window or door.

I used a sponge brush and applied Novacan Super Brite Copper Patina to the soldering. At the moment, it looks very dingy. I would like it more like the copper wire's color. What do I need to do?

A: First wash your design with mild soap and water to remove any residue from the flux, and patina.

Once dry apply car wax to the entire design- rub on and wipe off. This should make the patina shine.
