What is Running or Floating Solder

by Violet
(NE)

Q: I was recently told a "running solder" technique would look fabulous on a project I am working on and going to came.

What is this soldering technique, how do you do it and do you have a picture of something camed using "running or floating solder"? Thank you, Violet

A: Violet - Running or floating solder is a technique used in copper foil - applying a bead of solder along the seams to connect 2 pieces of glass together.

Where as in lead came process you apply dabs of solder, but you connect the glass pieces together with the lead came.

You can make stained glass
