Surfs Up Stained Glass

Let's Go Surfing Stained Glass Style

I finally finished this piece at end of July. Hope you all like it. This was created for my husband with much help from my instructor, Joni at Ocean Stained Glass, Seal Beach, CA.

Now comes a question...
just yesterday, August 12, I took it back to the shop to show a couple other ladies who didn't see the finished piece, and found that it had already lost patina and shine.

Apparently the ocean air caused oxidation at an incredible rate.

My instructor said that usually this occurs in years, not days. So, I had to re-do the patina, and polished it twice on both sides.

Any advice on how to keep it nice for a longer period of time in a sea air environment, please?

Thanks-Debra
