Let's have fun making some stained glass decorations for you yard or outside area. Have you ever seen a glass ball on a stand? When the sun shines on it, it sparkles amazing colors.
It is time to be more creative with your yard. You could add such sparkle and flair with a stained glass butterfly design, a fish, a star, or a bird. There are so many options.
If you have a garden, you could make stakes with the names of your plants, picture of fruit, a leaf. You could make a frog, a doggy, a flower, all the choices are yours. Stained glass decorations and yard art is for fun. This would be perfect idea for holidays, such as Halloween or Christmas or Thanksgiving or birthdays. The idea that we have is a stained glass on a pole so that you can stick it in the ground or a planter. Figure your image, design, or stained glass patterns to be about 6"-8". We will keep this project simple and fun... Items needed for outside stained glass decorations: 1. Glass for stained glass and all stained glass tools and stained glass supplies needed to produce. 2. 3/4" copper tubing found in any hardware store- make it the height you desire. This is basically all you will need. Once the stained glass piece has been made, you would secure the design with solder to the top of the copper tubing. Stick it in the ground or a planter, anywhere your heart desires and enjoy your work of art. Just a fun side note: Our brother in law has been making different colors and shapes of fish. He has produced as we describe above and as made an aquarium look in one of his gardens around his home. It is a very whimsical and fun look. It is different and unique. They get a big kick when they look at their land aquarium. It makes them think of their times at the beach. So have fun with this project.
