Taking stained glass classes can really help you bust through the learning curve of this wonderful art.

Stained glass classes are an excellent way to learn this artformThere are multiple ways to learn glass art making and there are multiple ways each of us learns.

So, this page is set up to discover some great ways to discover how to make stained glass. From this point we'll dig deeper as we venture into this amazing craft together.

Stained glass classes by all means are a great way to connect with other individuals who share your passion.

It is also a great way to discover new techniques when you get stuck on a project.

We get emails everyday asking how to do this and do that and we have found that there are various challenges for different enthusiasts.

So, because we all learn in different ways, we are going to share some places you can continue to grow into a stained glass making expert.

We believe our site will provide everything you need including written tips, videos, courses, and more, but sometimes you just need to dive into the deep end and get more (remember we said this was addicting).

Quick Note/Testimonial Regarding Classes from another Artist: Thank you for your help. Believe it or not I have taken classes (if that is what you called them).

The teacher actually got very impatient if you asked too many questions, and got very angry when my pieces didn't fit on my very first project.

I have learned more on the internet than I did at the $250 class. That is why I quit stained glass for several years, but something peeked my interest again and I decided to start from scratch and ask people who are willing to listen to my questions. ~Martina

Here are some great places to learn how to make stained glass...

  • Check your local Vocational Schools or Universities. They often have classes you can take from other experts. They can get quite expensive though.

  • Art Museums or Art Centers (if you have one in your area) always provide different cultural and art courses.

  • Internet (of course)- The web is a vast and endless resource of everything. We have found a number of great sites that will complement what we're sharing here. Glass forums, groups, and more will give you everything you need.

You can now gain access for either free or very cheap to stained glass video tutorials, free instructions, deals on tools, and much more! Take advantage of the web! Find more glass info and supplies click here

  • Hobby shops and craft stores that sell supplies and such often have stained glass classes you can participate in. If anything pick the brains of the folks that work there. We have done this many times. People love to help other people, so asking questions and striking a dialogue is always a good way to learn.

  • Your local YMCA or community center is a great place to check. Next time you're there or give them a call and see what events they have coming up. Churches often have craft groups, craft shows will spark some ideas and others, and other community organizations/events offer opportunity for glass artists - us artists are everywhere!

  • Contact your better business bureau. They can provide good quality companies that offer stained glass classes.

One final place to check that we came across recently is www.aisg.on.ca/classes - a non-profit glass organization for us enthusiasts.

Just be aware that many businesses go up and come down very quickly, so we're not sure how accurate some of these will be, but it should provide a good start.

Remember we can only provide guidance when it comes to art and creativity.

There are a number of ways to learn this craft and stained glass classes are one. Question is, is it right for you? We suggest you look into them based on how serious you are, your budget, and if that is the best way you learn - hands on with on-site instruction.

We'll definitely get more in depth with stained glass instructions as we take you along this amazing journey.

For now this should give you a good start.
