Soldering Large Areas

by JIM W
(COLGATE, WI)

When soldering large areas or in the same area of a piece of glass for stained glass, you may experience cracking from heat.

To reduce this, use a damp towel on the opposite side of the piece you are working on.

This will reduce the temperature of the glass so you can keep soldering in the same area.

Doing this will help your soldering line look good!

Check out more on how to use and buy solder irons!

If you want to learn the art and techniques of soldering, check out our stained glass solder video and discover how to master this portion quickly!
