Q: How much does all the equipment cost and can I do it out of my garage?

Our A: You asked a great question about the cost to get started and where you could perhaps work on your stained glass projects.

The major piece of equipment we recommend is the grinder. The soldering iron would be next. The cost of the other supplies range between $7-$20.

Learn more about stained glass grinders & how they can help you make glass art.

The first set up would be around $300-$400 But just filling in supplies is minimal. You can also purchase one of many stained glass kits to get you rolling.

A work space anywhere would be good. The garage would be good for grinding, but you do have to keep up with the cleanup of glass. Some of it depends on the size and the amount of light in the garage.

Check out our work space & stained glass work bench which is in a basement right off the garage where we create stained glass.
