How long does it take to learn and start stained glass

by Marie

Q: How long does it take to learn, and get started? Also, can i learn this art without getting in debt up to my eyeballs?

Our A: This is a great hobby/business once you have the basic tools.

The rest is fill ins on copper foil, glass, flux and solder.

The timing to learn stained glass is based on you and your creativity or your willingness to work with some detail.

It is a great stress reliever after a hard day or week of work.

It is very rewarding to see the work come to life.
The key is to be patient with each step. Some things you will find easy and some may be more difficult - these can be supplemented with tutorials and/or stained glass videos.

But I will tell you with each of my designs it became easier and easier - also the work shows how much you improve.

The best part is the finish and the compliments you receive from folks who admire your work!!

Hope you decide to pursue this art. You may like to learn on your own or join one of many stained glass classes to learn the basics.

Also you could use their supplies to see if this is something you would like to continue. It gives you the ability to test things out.

Let us know how you do or if you have any other questions as you go along.
