How do I use sheet copper?

by Karen
(Florida)

Q: My project calls for using sheet copper to make the feet on the stained glass rooster. How do I attach the sheet copper feet once I have them out of the sheet copper?

A: You asked about attaching copper feet from a copper sheet.

Are you attaching the feet flat against the glass or are they standing out in a 3d fashion?

I guess either way I will recommend that you attached with solder along the seams But first you will need to put flux along the area you are going to solder.

If you don't have enough seams to attach with solder then I recommend using a epoxy glue to attach to sections of the glass.

Epoxy glue is the best for attaching any thing together. Be sure to follow the directions on the back of the epoxy tubes.
